Fiber diffraction pattern from an oriented sol of tobacco mosaic virus. This pattern was obtained by Keiichi Namba in 1982, using flat film and a double-mirror focusing system. The oriented sol was made by Ken Holmes in 1960, working at the time in Don Caspar's laboratory.
